8th IJEX FAM Programme Offers Indian Exporters Valuable Insights into UAE Jewellery Market

The eighth Familiarisation Programme (FAM) at the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai has begun, providing Indian jewellery exporters with an immersive opportunity to understand the UAE jewellery market and expand their knowledge of the region’s business environment.

Conducted under the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council‘s flagship Exporter Mentorship Programme (EMP), the initiative is designed to equip exporters with practical market insights and help them develop strategies tailored to the GCC jewellery sector.

As part of the programme, participants are visiting prominent jewellery hubs across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman, engaging with retailers, wholesalers, trading centres and industry professionals. These interactions offer valuable exposure to local consumer preferences, emerging design trends, pricing models, merchandising techniques and buying patterns, enabling exporters to better position their products for the regional market.

The programme also features a specialised learning session at the World Academy of Design, along with an exclusive workshop by L’École School of Jewelry Arts. These sessions explore luxury jewellery design, craftsmanship, storytelling and brand development, helping participants gain deeper insights into the premium jewellery segment and the evolving expectations of global buyers.
