Strong Retailer Participation Marks IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 Connect in Kozhikode

GJEPC successfully hosted the Kozhikode edition of its Retailers’ Connect roadshow for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026, drawing participation from 60 prominent jewellery retailers across the region.

A major highlight of the event was the encouraging registration response, with 40 members of the Jewellery Manufacturers Association (JMA), Kozhikode Division, completing Advance Visitor Registration (AVR) on the spot. The association played a key role in supporting the organisation of the programme.

During the session, Naheed Sunke, Assistant Director, GJEPC, outlined the Council’s various initiatives aimed at supporting the gem and jewellery sector. She elaborated on membership advantages, international exhibition platforms, MSME-focused schemes, and e-commerce initiatives that help businesses expand and thrive.

Deepa Rajendran, Kerala Coordinator, GJEPC, addressed attendees in Malayalam, providing detailed insights into the benefits of participating in IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. She also explained the special Privilege Visitor Registration (PVR) and AVR packages available for visitors.

Murali Ayyar, Category Head – Retail Trade, De Beers India, introduced the INDRA Project, an initiative designed to strengthen consumer trust in natural diamonds while equipping retailers with tools to effectively promote natural diamond jewellery.
