GJEPC Organises Market Insight Session in Jaipur with Spanish Jewellery Brand TOUS

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) hosted an interactive market insight session with Marta Tous, Creative and Innovation Curator of renowned Spanish jewellery brand TOUS, for IGJS 2026 participants at its Regional Office in Jaipur on 22 May.
Marta Tous, a fourth-generation member of the founding family, oversees the creative and product vision of TOUS, a globally recognised jewellery and accessories brand with over 600 stores across more than 40 countries.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Yogendra Garg, Regional Chairman – Jaipur & Co-Convenor, International Sub-Committee, GJEPC.
During her presentation, Marta Tous traced the remarkable journey of TOUS from a single jewellery store in Spain to an internationally acclaimed retail brand. She elaborated on the company’s dual business approach — the atelier segment catering to premium clients through exclusive bespoke creations, and the mainstream jewellery segment, which forms the backbone of the brand’s global business.
Speaking about product offerings, Tous shared that nearly 30% of TOUS jewellery is crafted in 18kt gold, while silver jewellery dominates the brand’s portfolio. She also highlighted the company’s recent expansion into 9kt jewellery collections.
She praised the notable advancements in India’s jewellery manufacturing standards over the last decade and discussed key jewellery trends emerging across Europe. Tous emphasised the importance of continued investment in superior craftsmanship and innovative design to remain globally competitive.
Addressing participants during an engaging Q&A session, she clarified that TOUS currently focuses exclusively on natural diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery, with no immediate plans to venture into lab-grown diamonds or platinum jewellery.
Marta Tous also accepted GJEPC’s invitation to attend the next edition of IGJS, scheduled to take place in Jaipur from 7–9 April 2027.
