BIS is signing MoUs with 4 educational Institutes under the Jurisdiction of BIS, Chennai Branch Office. Accordingly, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Southern Regional Office is signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with the following 4 Educational Institutions on 17 November 2023 at Chennai.
1. National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Taramani, Chennai
2. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai
3. Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College, Chennai
4. Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai
Partnership With Technical And Professional Institutions will help the Institutions to participate in Standardization activity through Technical Committees of the Bureau at National & International level, getting infrastructure support for R&D Projects of relevance to Standardization, jointly organize seminars, conferences, workshops symposia or lectures on topics of Standardization and Conformity Assessment, exchange publications and other literature of common interest related to Standardization, to introduce curricula of topics on standardization in academics, explore the possibility for setting up a Centre of Excellence in the field of Standardization, Testing & Conformity Assessment, explore the possibility of using laboratory facilities available etc.
