S Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs for India, met with Gujarat-based businesses in the diamond industry on Monday in Namibia and praised them for their contributions to the local economy while fostering genuine friendships.
Jaishankar travelled from South Africa, where the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Summit had just ended, to the capital of Namibia.
“It’s encouraging to see Gujarat-based Indian diamond companies operating in Namibia. They are strengthening our friendships while furthering our economic interests. The Namibian government values their support of the regional economy.
