The largest lab-grown diamond according to GIA is 34.59 ct.

The largest lab-grown diamond created using the chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process was recently evaluated by the GIA laboratory in Hong Kong.

The 34.59 ct. emerald-cut diamond was given a GIA grading of G colour, VS2 clarity. Its dimensions are 24.94 x 13.95 x 9.39 mm and it was created by Ethereal Green Diamond in India.

The significant technological breakthrough in CVD diamond growth, according to Tom Moses, GIA executive vice president and chief laboratory and research officer, is the more than twofold rise in size within a year.
