In honour of the discovery of natural diamonds, De Beers has introduced a new tiara in time for King Charles III’s coronation next month. It is a modern take on the classic jewellery item. It is a piece of the newest high jewellery line, Metamorphosis, which is hailed as “the most imaginative and technically demanding collection to date.”
A pear-shaped jewel weighing 8.49 carats sits in the tiara’s centre, which is adorned with more than 40 carats of natural diamonds.
The tiara, which was made of coloured titanium and platinum, is a striking example of how De Beers can find some of the rarest diamonds in the world and use exquisite craftsmanship to incorporate those stones into cutting-edge designs.
