Sarine Technologies has inaugurated a new GCAL by Sarine Jewellery Certification and Quality Assurance Lab at SEEPZ, Mumbai, expanding its services and strengthening its presence within India’s jewellery manufacturing and export industry.
The new Mumbai facility complements GCAL by Sarine’s existing laboratories in Surat and New York. While the Surat lab operates within India’s diamond manufacturing hub, the SEEPZ facility is focused on jewellery manufacturing and exports. Together, the facilities are intended to create a more streamlined certification network connecting India’s major manufacturing centres with the US jewellery market.
With the opening of the Mumbai laboratory, GCAL by Sarine has broadened its Indian services beyond diamond grading to include jewellery certification and quality assurance. Its certification services are backed by the GCAL consumer guarantee, with the company placing emphasis on grading integrity, consistency and greater consumer confidence.
Tzafrir Engelhard, CEO of Sarine, said the SEEPZ facility allows the company to serve customers closer to where jewellery is manufactured while benefiting from the established reputation of the GCAL by Sarine brand. He added that completing the facility ahead of the industry’s peak season will enable the company to provide timely support to customers during an important period for the jewellery sector.
