Vicenzaoro September 2026 Strengthens Its Global Reach

Vicenzaoro September 2026 concluded on 8 September with increased visitor numbers and stronger international participation, further reinforcing its role as a major global platform for the jewellery, gemstones, precious metals and jewellery technology sectors.
Organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the five-day event recorded a 4% rise in overall visitor attendance compared with the September 2025 edition, while the number of international visitors increased by 9%.
This edition also marked the first major showcase of the expanded Vicenza Expo Centre, following the inauguration of the new Hall 2. Combined with Vicenzaoro‘s Boutique Show concept, the expanded venue brought together the complete jewellery ecosystem—from manufacturing technologies and machinery showcased at T.Gold to finished jewellery, gemstones, packaging and associated services.
International Participation Expands Further
Vicenzaoro welcomed visitors from 136 countries, representing a 4% increase in international market participation compared with September 2025. European visitor attendance grew by 9%, while participation from outside Europe also increased by 9%, with visitors representing 91 non-European countries. Attendance from the United States rose by 2%.
The leading international visitor markets included:
- The United Kingdom
- Germany
- China
- India
- Romania
- Switzerland
- Spain
- Denmark
- Colombia
- Belgium
Significant growth was also seen in visitor numbers from South Korea, Singapore, Kuwait, South Africa, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Indonesia, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia.
India’s position among the top five international visitor markets highlights the country’s growing significance within Vicenzaoro‘s global network and reflects the strong commercial relationship between the Indian jewellery industry and Italian manufacturers.
Matteo Farsura, Head of IEG’s Jewellery & Fashion division, said that the continued growth validates the work undertaken during the transitional editions while construction of the new Hall 2 was underway. According to him, international attendance has continued to rise since September 2024 and, supported by the inclusion of T.Gold, has now grown by 12%, despite a challenging global business environment.
MAECI and Italian Trade Agency Programme Brings 910 Buyers
Vicenzaoro‘s international buyer programme, organised in partnership with Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Italian Trade Agency, brought 700 hosted international buyers to the event.
An additional 210 Italian buyers participated, taking the total number of hosted trade visitors to a record 910 buyers.
Representing 73 countries, the hosted buyer programme recorded a 33% increase compared with the September 2025 edition.
Farsura explained that the initiative focused not only on increasing the number of buyers but also on carefully matching them with exhibiting companies based on their business profiles and target markets. Around 70 Italian Trade Agency offices worldwide supported the programme and its international outreach.
New Hall 2 Transforms the Exhibition Experience
The opening of the new Hall 2 marked an important stage in the development of the Vicenza Expo Centre. The two-level structure spans approximately 23,000 square metres and connects Halls 1, 3, 4 and 6, improving accessibility and creating a more integrated exhibition environment.
The expanded edition hosted 1,300 exhibiting brands from 40 countries, with international exhibitors accounting for 45% of the total participation.
For the first time, T.Gold, the specialised showcase for jewellery manufacturing technologies and machinery, was integrated within the Expo Centre. This enabled Vicenzaoro to present the entire jewellery value chain within one connected exhibition platform.
At a time when the industry is navigating uncertain demand, margin pressures and changing consumer expectations, the format provided a space for business while also focusing on innovation, manufacturing efficiency and emerging market trends.
CIBJO Centenary Congress Adds Global Significance
One of the major highlights of Vicenzaoro September was the centenary congress of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation.
Led by President Gaetano Cavalieri, CIBJO plays an important role in bringing together the international jewellery industry around standards, nomenclature, responsible business practices and consumer confidence.
Held in Vicenza to commemorate the organisation’s 100th anniversary, the congress welcomed more than 600 delegates, including representatives from luxury groups, mining companies, retailers, laboratories and other segments of the global jewellery supply chain.
Key discussions focused on some of the industry’s most significant challenges, including sustainability, transparency, consumer confidence and the classification of natural and laboratory-grown diamonds and coloured stones.
The congress further strengthened Vicenzaoro’s position as an international forum where industry leaders, businesses, associations and institutions can engage in discussions around the evolving structure and future direction of the jewellery sector.
Networking Continues to Drive the Vicenzaoro Experience
Beyond sourcing and exhibition opportunities, Vicenzaoro continued to place strong emphasis on professional networking and relationship building.
The event created opportunities for exhibitors, buyers, institutions, trade associations and international industry leaders to exchange ideas, explore new partnerships and develop business relationships.
This focus on networking remains one of Vicenzaoro’s defining strengths, enabling discussions to extend beyond individual transactions and address broader themes such as market development, technology, distribution and changing consumer behaviour.
The September edition also hosted the ninth edition of VO Vintage, featuring 53 selected exhibitors specialising in vintage and modern jewellery and watches.
Open to the public, VO Vintage combined commercial activity with an educational programme featuring expert speakers and initiatives designed to promote greater interest in watchmaking and vintage collecting.
Strong Support From Global and Industry Partners
Vicenzaoro’s strategic partners include MAECI and the Italian Trade Agency, while its international partners include CIBJO, GJEPC India, the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association and Francéclat.
