IAGES Surpasses 100 Accredited Partners Milestone

The Indian Association for Gold Excellence and Standards (IAGES) has crossed the milestone of 100 accredited partners, with its network now spanning over 550 outlets across 240+ cities in 29 states—strengthening its mission to bring standardisation to India’s gold industry.
Its accreditation ecosystem covers the entire value chain, including refiners, bullion traders, manufacturers, assaying and hallmarking centres, retailers, and digital gold platforms. Among these, retailers make up the largest segment, highlighting quicker adoption of standardised practices and a unified code of conduct.
The accreditation process involves a rigorous evaluation by independent third-party agencies, assessing sourcing, manufacturing, and operational practices. For jewellers, this reflects adherence to ethical standards and boosts consumer confidence, while for buyers, it ensures greater transparency and authenticity.
Kaushlendra Sinha, CEO of IAGES, stated that the organisation now represents a truly pan-India network—from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Mumbai to Kolkata—emphasising the need for a common framework of best practices across the industry. He added that while major national players are part of the network, the growing participation of small and medium businesses highlights the increasing acceptance of IAGES across the gold sector.
To further enhance consumer awareness, IAGES has introduced the ‘Before you buy gold, #PehlaCheckIAGES’ campaign, urging buyers to verify accreditation before making a purchase, and promoting more informed and responsible buying decisions.
