Kering Launches Luxury Academy to Nurture Future Talent

French luxury conglomerate Kering has introduced the Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze, a new educational platform designed to train the next generation of skilled artisans in fashion and jewellery. The initiative was announced on 15 April 2026 during Italy’s Made in Italy Day.
The academy will function as a decentralised learning network, centred at the Valore Italia campus in Milan’s MIND innovation district. It aims to blend traditional luxury craftsmanship with modern expertise such as artificial intelligence and innovative materials.
Training programmes will cover four key sectors—ready-to-wear, menswear tailoring, leather goods, and jewellery—highlighting Kering’s holistic approach to craftsmanship across its businesses. Courses will range from short-term modules to multi-year diploma programmes officially recognised under Italian law, with the first batch of students set to begin in September 2026.
Initially, the academy plans to train up to 1,000 students each year, with the potential to double enrolment over time. It will welcome both Kering employees and external applicants, reflecting its wider commitment to the industry.
Headed by Sabina Belli, the academy expands on current training efforts across Kering brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Pomellato, while also collaborating with institutions including Politecnico di Milano.
