A stakeholder meeting was arranged by the Chennai Regional Office of GJEPC and included Smt. Rajalakshmi Devaraj, IDAS, Zonal Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). The 73-person session’s goal was to investigate ways to boost small-value e-commerce exports in the gem and jewelry industry.
Assistant Superintendent Smt. Kavita demonstrated the variety of postal services that are available to support these exports, emphasizing the vital role that India Post plays in empowering MSME exporters.
GJEPC Regional Committee Member Mr. Mahaveer Bothra led the meeting and gave the participants his thoughts. Mr. Sultan Mohideen, President of the Chennai Jewellers Association (CJA), and Mr. Jayanthilal Challani, President of the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders’ Association (MJDTA), were also in attendance.
