A team from the GJEPC met with Shri Jitin Prasada, the Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, to talk about pressing matters affecting the industry. The discussion was led by Kirit Bhansali, Chairman of the GJEPC; along with Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman of the GJEPC; and Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director of the GJEPC. They examined the current state of the sector, identified crucial issues that are obstructing growth, and discussed future projects and initiatives aimed at boosting exports, generating employment, and assisting skilled artisans. GJEPC representatives emphasized the necessity for policy support to improve India’s competitiveness on a global scale in the gem and jewellery industry.
