Gemfields’ Mozambican rubies are a fantastic fit for the Sandy Leong Lunar Collection.

Following successful prior partnerships, fine jewellery designer Sandy Leong has included Mozambican rubies mined by Gemfields in her current Lunar Collection. The Lunar Collection, named after the Lunar New Year and inspired by 2024’s formidable Year of the Dragon, relies on the long history of rubies and the color red with Chinese culture, as well as passion, prosperity, protection, and, of course, celebration.

Each of the nine pieces in the collection has ethically mined rubies from Montepuez Ruby Mining in Mozambique, which is majority-owned and run by Gemfields, set in 18k recycled gold, as well as conflict-free colourless diamonds.

The collection includes an array of Ruby earrings (baguette, chain, and huggies), a Ruby Baguette Tennis bracelet, a Ruby Baguette pendant, and a Ruby Baguette Stack ring, as well as three standout Ruby Signet rings (with either round or baguette rubies). Each piece exudes the unique sense of occasion and heritage wrapped up in the Chinese New Year with a rich red ruby at its center: classic pieces that will stand the test of time.
