IGJS JAIPUR 2024: GJEPC announces unique GJ expo for worldwide buyers.

GJEPC, the leading body of India’s gem and jewellery industry, hosted the third edition of the International Gem & Jewellery Show (IGJS) in Jaipur. The event, powered by Gemfields, will take place from April 12 to 14 at the Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre in Jaipur.

IGJS Jaipur is a selected event that showcases the best of Indian workmanship, with over 54 jewellery manufacturers and exporters showing a diverse range of Diamonds, Loose Gemstones, Gemstone and Diamond Studded Jewellery, and Silver Jewellery.

IGJS 2024 attracted 250 international buyers from 27 countries, including Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uzbekistan.

Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, stated, “India’s gem and jewellery industry is a global leader, making significant contributions to the global market. Our yearly exports of USD 40 billion demonstrate our strength and ability in this sector, which provides employment for over 5 million people. We remain committed to fostering strong international commercial links between India and global markets. This commitment is proven by programs such as IGJS Shows, as well as actively facilitating chances for our exporters through participation in international events.

Vipul Shah went on to say, “GJEPC is actively working with the government to ensure favorable policies in free trade agreements for the sector. We have already seen the favorable impact of the India-UAE CEPA, and we expect similar benefits for the industry in the upcoming FTAs with the GCC, Canada, the UK, and the EU.”
