The Israel Diamond Exchange has launched a diamond sales event at DDC New York.

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) launched the “Stand With Israel” special sales event at the New York Diamond Dealers Club (DDC). The event will be hosted on the DDC market floor from November 27-30, 2023, with participation from 25 top Israeli diamond enterprises.

The event was opened by Israel Diamond Exchange President Boaz Moldawsky and DDC NY President Elliot Krischer with the attendance of diamond leaders including Eli Izhakoff, Honorary President of the WFDB. The Consul-General of Israel in New York Aviv Ezra, the President of Israel Bonds Danny Naveh, the Israeli Consul for Consular Affairs Avner Saban, Israel’s Economic Attaché Anat Katz, and IDE member Adi Alexander, whose son Idan Alexander is a soldier held hostage by the Hamas in Gaza were also in attendance. The event opened with a minute’s silence in memory of those murdered on 7th October, and a prayer for the release of all the hostages.

“A few weeks ago, I brought up the idea of the special sales event in New York with Elliott Krischer, President of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York,” IDE President Boaz Moldawsky stated at the launch. Elliot agreed quickly, making the idea a reality and an incredible show of support for the State of Israel. It is not an easy moment for Israelis to leave the nation, especially those with family in the army. As a result, I am filled with pride and gratitude for all of the Israeli enterprises who are participating in the event.”

The Israeli economy has slowed significantly as a result of the war with Gaza, and the diamond exchange has suffered a major fall in activity. The IDE expects that the unique sales event will help the Israeli diamond sector and allow Israeli and New York diamantaires to strengthen their relationships.
