JGTD 2024 has announced new show dates and locations.

The third edition will be held on November 12-14, 2024.

The third edition of Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai (JGTD) has been rescheduled for November 12-14, 2024. The event will now be held in Halls 1 & 2 South of the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), rather than the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) as previously planned.

DEC, located in the Expo/District 2020 district, spans 45,000 square meters and provides adaptable conference space with cutting-edge technology. Its excellent location near the Dubai Metro Route 2020 station guarantees convenient transportation and easy access to major attractions, which are within a 30-minute drive. The opulent Dubai Marina is about a 20-minute drive away.

The rearranged November dates coincide with a critical period in the B2B sourcing calendar, allowing for last-minute orders from trade customers within a six-hour flight of Dubai. This strives to ensure that inventory is replenished on time for the holiday season and the future year, helping the B2B community. The show’s organizers, Informa Markets Jewellery and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), underline the importance of this timing in satisfying the industry’s changing requirements and preferences.

Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, highlighted her delight about the shift to DEC, adding that it confirms JGTD‘s global status as a gathering place for discovering new products, sharing ideas, and connecting. The new show dates were chosen strategically by Marco Carniello, Global Exhibition Director for Jewellery & Fashion at Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), to suit shorter sourcing cycles and fulfill rapidly changing customer needs.

The third edition of JGTD is set to feature a varied selection of items from 400 exhibitors representing 25 nations and regions. Highlights include aspirational luxury jewelry collections, loose diamonds, colored gemstones, jewelry mountings, jewelry manufacturing technology, and lab-grown diamonds, all conveniently located in one location.

The event is positioned as a prominent hub for the worldwide gem and jewellery industry and is powered by DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) and Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG). The Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, stressed Dubai’s importance as a B2B trading hub and its rise in polished diamond commerce. He also emphasized the relevance of JGTD 2024 because the UAE is the year’s chair of the Kimberley Process.

Tawhid Abdulla, Chairman of the DGJG, expressed excitement about the new dates and location, emphasizing the potential efficiency for jewellers to refill their inventory. The event’s relocation to a new location and date is viewed as an opportunity to bring in new energy and viewpoints.

JGTD 2024 will feature six new pavilions representing Japan, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the United States. The event intends to attract buying groups from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and varied locations across Africa, with strong backing from India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

Building on the success of previous editions, the 2023 show at DWTC attracted buyers from 95 countries and regions, representing a 20% increase in attendance over the inaugural event. JGTD‘s global popularity and reach were clear, with overseas guests accounting for 40% of total attendance. The third edition aims to build on this momentum by offering buyers an enhanced product sourcing experience.
