LGD in Ukraine Flag colours of blue and yellow

A Ukrainian lab-grown business has created “unique” two-colored diamonds in the colours of the country’s flag, blue and yellow.

Meylor Global used the High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) process to grow the diamonds, with nitrogen and boron acting as metal catalysts.

“Precise colour zoning is the result of years of research and experiments where chemicals and cycling are rigorously controlled,” said the company’s CEO, Yuliya Kusher.

“Once we understood the physics, we used precise nitrogen and boron content, in combination with strictly controlled pressure, temperature, and growth rates, to produce this fascinating mix of bicoloration, which corresponds to the Ukrainian flag.”

Meylor graded two bi-color diamonds and showed them at JCK Las Vegas.
