The Black In Jewelry Coalition (BIJC) proudly announced the winners of its first-ever Rock the Jewels Awards on November 16, 2023 at the Rock The Jewels Event with New York City Jewelry Week in a historic celebration of diversity, excellence, and a commitment to inclusivity in the jewelry industry. This historic occasion marks a key turning point in BIJC‘s history.
“As we reflect on the last three years of the BIJC‘s existence, we can’t help but marvel at the milestones we’ve achieved together,” BIJC President Annie Doresca stated. “The 50th anniversary of Hip Hop provided the ideal backdrop for not only celebrating the cultural phenomenon, but also honoring BIJC‘s unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the jewelry industry.” That is exactly what the award recipients represent, and we are very pleased of the difference they have made.”

The BIJC Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Jeffery Bolling, District Manager of Signet Jewelers, for his outstanding contributions to the industry over the past 30 years. After serving in the United States Army in 1986, Bolling began a career in the jewelry industry that includes retail sales, jewelry creation, and managing a store in Denver, CO called Jeffery B Jewelers. Bolling has not only made an unmistakable impression on the industry, but he has also been a trailblazer, encouraging diversity and setting the way for future generations of professionals. This renowned honor recognizes a lifetime of dedication to quality and innovation. Bolling’s legacy continues to inspire and motivate, and he has set the bar for greatness in our field.
