Zi Debuts as a Modern Indian Design House, Reimagining Everyday Luxury

Zi, a new Indian design house, has entered the jewellery market with its debut collection of 925 sterling silver jewellery, introducing contemporary, versatile designs to a segment traditionally associated with special occasions and ceremonial dressing. Priced from Rs 3,500, the launch marks the beginning of Zi’s vision to create a modern jewellery house where luxury is expressed through design, materials and wearability rather than excess or spectacle.

At the heart of Zi’s philosophy is a simple idea: jewellery should not have to wait for a special occasion. The debut collection is created to become an integral part of the everyday wardrobe, combining clean silhouettes, thoughtful detailing and versatile forms that can be worn regularly, styled in multiple ways and adapted to different settings.

The collection is presented across three distinct edits: Staple Edits, offering essential everyday pieces; Forever Favourites, featuring versatile designs created for repeated wear; and Evening Elegance, offering a more refined interpretation for evening and occasion dressing. Designed to complement one another, the pieces can be worn individually or layered together, encouraging customers to build a personal jewellery wardrobe rather than shop exclusively for specific occasions.

Silver as the Starting Point

925 sterling silver serves as the foundation of Zi’s debut collection, selected for its versatility and its ability to establish the brand’s distinctive design language. Select pieces also incorporate other metals and are completed with premium rhodium plating. The jewellery is nickel- and lead-free, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on material quality, finish and suitability for everyday wear.

However, silver represents only the first step in Zi’s larger journey. The brand is already developing future design-led collections, including The Classics and The Atelier. These upcoming lines are expected to retain the understated character of the debut while introducing greater design depth and expression, further expanding Zi’s interpretation of everyday luxury.

Exploring New Materials

Zi is also experimenting with a wider range of materials, including titanium fused with gold and lab-grown diamonds. Each material has been selected for a specific purpose—titanium for its strength and lightweight properties, gold for its warmth and lab-grown diamonds as a contemporary take on an established symbol of luxury.

This approach reflects Zi’s ambition to establish a design house guided by a thoughtful material philosophy, rather than positioning itself around a single jewellery category or metal.

The brand’s vision extends beyond jewellery as well. Zi is exploring opportunities across lifestyle categories, with design remaining central to its identity. Its long-term goal is to develop a design-led house spanning different materials, products and categories, while maintaining a distinctive and consistent creative perspective.

A New Take on Everyday Luxury

The debut collection became available exclusively on Zi’s online platform from August 24, 2026, with prices starting at Rs 3,500.

With its debut, Zi is bringing a fresh proposition to India’s evolving jewellery market—one where luxury is not reserved for milestone moments, but designed to be part of everyday life. While sterling silver provides the foundation for its first collection, Zi’s broader ambition is to develop a design language capable of evolving alongside the way modern India experiences, styles and wears luxury.
