GJEPC honours Piyush Goyal and Jitin Prasada for the successful conclusion of the India–USA Interim Agreement.

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) honoured Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal and Minister of State Jitin Prasada in New Delhi on 11 February 2026, marking the successful conclusion of the India–USA Interim Agreement. Discussions during the interaction focused on expanding exports and strengthening India’s gem and jewellery trade ecosystem.
The GJEPC delegation was led by Chairman Kirit Bhansali and included Anoop Mehta, Convener, Diamond Panel; Mital Doshi, Convener, Banking, Insurance & Taxation; Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Regional Chairman, Northern Region; and K.K. Duggal, Director – Policy.
Senior industry representatives present at the meeting included Rajya Sabha MP Govind Dholakia of SRK, Alkesh Shah of Goldstar Jewellery, and Milan Parikh of Mahendra Brothers.
