Governor of Japan’s Saga Prefecture Pays Visit to GJEPC

Yoshinori Yamaguchi, Governor of Saga Prefecture in Japan’s Kyushu region, visited the GJEPC Head Office on 7 February. During his visit, Governor Yamaguchi met with Ashish Borda, Convener of the PMBD sub-committee; Bharat Ghori, Member of the Diamond Panel; along with GJEPC officials, to learn more about India’s gem and jewellery sector, its export capabilities, and potential avenues for collaboration with Japan.

As part of the visit, the Governor also toured the Bharat Diamond Bourse, where he observed the scale, operational efficiency, and global importance of India’s diamond trading ecosystem.
