Prada has launched its new fine-jewellery line, Couleur Vivante, a 2025 collection that reinforces the brand’s growing presence in the global high-jewellery space. Released internationally this month, the collection combines vibrant colour stories with modern design, marking another milestone in Prada’s jewellery journey.
Co-designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the collection includes essentials such as solitaire rings, rivière necklaces, line bracelets and drop earrings. As its name suggests, Couleur Vivante centres on coloured gemstones, setting it apart from the diamond-dominated styles typically associated with European luxury houses. The gemstone selection includes amethyst, aquamarine, madeira citrine, morganite and oro-verde peridot — chosen for their vivid hues and expressive character.
The designs draw from Prada’s iconic geometric aesthetic, featuring angular lines and asymmetric forms reminiscent of the brand’s triangular emblem. Each piece balances architectural structure with gemstone luminosity.
A key highlight of the collection is its emphasis on transparency. Every jewel is digitally logged through the Aura Blockchain Consortium, enabling customers to track gemstone provenance from origin to final craftsmanship. Each item is also accompanied by gemological grading reports, meeting the rising demand for verified authenticity among contemporary luxury consumers.
Industry analysts say Prada’s focus on colour reflects a wider market trend, especially among younger buyers who prefer expressive, unconventional gemstones over traditional heirloom pieces. For retailers, the launch signals growing momentum within the coloured-gemstone category.
With Couleur Vivante, Prada continues its strategic expansion into high-value jewellery, demonstrating long-term ambitions in a segment where craftsmanship, innovation and traceability are increasingly defining success.
