Jewels of Legacy: The People, Emotions and Histories Behind Four Iconic Indian Jewellery Houses

In India, jewellery is far more than adornment. A necklace can carry the strains of a wedding song, a grandmother’s quiet blessing, or the weight of family tradition. These intimate sentiments form the heart of Jewels of Legacy, Edstead’s new docu-series now streaming on JioHotstar. The show captures the memories, relationships and cultural threads that make jewellery an essential part of personal and collective identity.

Known for crafting emotionally rich, documentary-driven narratives, Edstead brings the same authenticity and visual sensitivity to the world of Indian jewellery. The project was developed in collaboration with jewellery expert Preeta Agarwal, who partnered with Edstead as a Brand Partnership Consultant.

A Series That Goes Beyond Surface Sparkle

Instead of focusing solely on design details or technical prowess, Jewels of Legacy examines the people and philosophies behind four iconic jewellery houses. It explores their generational wisdom, deep-rooted traditions, and the values that guide their craftsmanship. The result is a seamless blend of history, emotion and artistry that draws viewers into a deeply immersive world.
