Anita Dongre Expands Her Global Footprint with Flagship Store Launch in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles
Renowned Indian designer Anita Dongre continues to strengthen her international presence with the inauguration of her 3,000 sq. ft. flagship boutique in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. With this milestone, Dongre becomes the first Indian designer to open a flagship store in Beverly Hills, marking her fourth international location after New York City and The Dubai Mall — a true reflection of her mission to showcase India’s craftsmanship on the global stage.
Situated on the iconic Wilshire Boulevard, the new store brings Dongre’s philosophy of mindful luxury to one of the world’s most prestigious fashion destinations. It houses a curated selection of handcrafted couture, ready-to-wear, and accessories — each piece celebrating India’s artisanal heritage through a contemporary global lens.
The launch event, co-hosted by Mindy Kaling and Poorna Jagannathan, brought together leading South Asian voices from Hollywood and the global fashion scene, including Jay and Radhika Shetty, Anjula Acharia, Payal Kadakia, Francia Raisa, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, Deepica Mutyala, Amrit Kaur, Ami Desai, Nidhi Sunil, and Richa Moorjani, among others — all celebrating Dongre’s distinctive blend of culture, creativity, and couture.
Inside, the boutique reimagines modern Rajasthan — a tranquil space that pays homage to Indian artistry. From hand-painted Pichhwai walls depicting lush flora and fauna to embroidered cushions, bespoke wallpaper, and custom furniture crafted by artisans across India, every detail reflects an immersive fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
A striking highlight of the store is a sculptural installation of an elephant matriarch and calf from The Great Elephant Migration, a global art initiative promoting sustainability and indigenous craft. Made from invasive lantana weeds by Indian artisan communities, the installation stands as a poignant symbol of conservation, compassion, and conscious luxury.
