GJEPC Works with Delhi Customs to Speed Up Jewellery Clearances

On 20th August, GJEPC representatives met senior Customs authorities at the New Custom House, Delhi, to resolve a long-standing import concern and facilitate the release of two jewellery consignments held up at the EDI port. Mr. Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Regional Chairman (North), GJEPC, interacted with the Commissioner (Airport), Additional Commissioner (Airport), Assistant Commissioner (Airport), and the Jewellery Appraiser (Import).

He further engaged in detailed discussions with Smt. Ashima Bansal, IRS, Commissioner of Customs (ACC Export), Delhi, focusing on smoother clearance of jewellery hand-carry shipments, especially with the festive season and multiple international exhibitions ahead. Mr. Sanjay Madaan, Chief Manager, GJEPC, was also present in the meeting, which concluded on a constructive note.
