Dassani Brothers Unveils ‘Aranya’: A Homage to India’s Enchanted Forests

Dassani Brothers proudly presents Aranya, a jewellery collection inspired by the pristine and untamed splendor of India’s wilderness. Named after the Sanskrit word for forest (अरण्य), Aranya is not just a jewellery line—it is a lyrical celebration of nature’s quiet grandeur and timeless essence. In these designs, time slows, silence speaks volumes, and every creature and vine shares age-old tales, immortalised in gold.

Drawing from India’s diverse natural beauty, Aranya captures elements like the regal peacock, the wise elephant, and delicate wildflowers hidden in ancient forests. These motifs are more than design accents—they symbolise elegance, wisdom, and nobility, interpreted through the signature craftsmanship of Dassani Brothers. Each creation is adorned with uncut Polki diamonds, sparkling round brilliant-cut diamonds, and rich gemstones, preserving traditional techniques and heritage. Polki diamonds, left in their natural form, lend every piece a raw, organic brilliance with a story embedded within.

Speaking about the launch, Sumit Dassani, Partner at Dassani Brothers, remarked, “Aranya is more than a collection; it’s our heartfelt tribute to the spirit of India’s forests. Each jewel reflects the silent power and subtle beauty of nature. Whether it’s the majestic peacock or the noble elephant, Aranya transforms these timeless symbols into exquisite jewels crafted with love, tradition, and artistry.”

Crafting an Aranya jewel is a meticulous process, demanding the skill and patience of 12 to 15 artisans who dedicate nearly 400 hours to complete each masterpiece. The process begins with forming a strong base, known as ghaat, to ensure stability. Expert artisans then carefully shape tiny metal enclosures to nestle each uncut Polki diamond, positioning them thoughtfully to maximise their natural sparkle.

Following this, every ornament is precisely cleaned and polished to achieve a refined finish. Master polishers, engravers, and meenakari artists then elevate each design with detailed engravings and subtle enamel accents. Finally, hand-strung pearls, rubies, and emerald beads are added, enhancing the fluidity and elegance of every piece.

With Aranya, Dassani Brothers invites you to embrace a piece of India’s sacred wilderness—timeless heirlooms crafted with traditional artistry, precious materials, and a deep reverence for stories meant to endure across generations.

The Aranya Collection will make its debut at the IIJS Premiere Show on Wednesday, 30th July 2025.
