In collaboration with the All India Jewellers and Goldsmith Federation (AIJGF), the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) hosted an insightful seminar titled “GJEPC and Trade Opportunities” in Nagpur.
The seminar focused on informing jewellers, especially those in the MSME sector, about the benefits of participating in IIJS Premiere and the various export-driven programs available to them. GJEPC Director Mr. Mithilesh Pandey led an in-depth session outlining government schemes and explaining how initiatives like SAJEX and IJEX can enhance export potential. He also discussed participation in international exhibitions, the scope of e-commerce exports, and hand-carry export procedures from Mumbai.
Ms. Naheed Sunke, Assistant Director at GJEPC, offered an extensive overview of IIJS shows, emphasizing their role in lead generation, brand building, and expanding market reach.
From a technology perspective, Mr. Murli Iyer of De Beers demonstrated how Indra’s digital platform can help retailers grow their natural diamond sales through modern customer engagement tools.
AIJGF President Mr. Pankaj Arora and Vice President Mr. Nitin Kedia expressed strong support for the seminar, motivating local jewellers to actively utilise GJEPC’s programs. Their involvement promoted meaningful interaction between regional jewellers and the council.
The seminar attracted over 150 participants, including jewellers, exporters, manufacturers, and association members from across Vidarbha, and concluded with a lively Q&A session and networking opportunities.
