The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) officially kicked off the Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX) 2025 with a grand Curtain Raiser event at The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah on July 6. The launch event gathered prominent dignitaries and leaders from the jewellery trade, marking the formal beginning of this eagerly awaited exposition.
The event was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India in Jeddah. Other notable attendees included Mr. Sheikh Ali Batarfi Al Kindi, President of the Jeddah Jewellery Association, and Mr. Engineer Raed Ibrahim Almudaiheem, First Vice Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, along with various key players from Saudi Arabia’s jewellery industry.
Representing India, the GJEPC delegation was led by Chairman Mr. Kirit Bhansali, National Events Convener Mr. Nirav Bhansali, and Executive Director Mr. Sabyasachi Ray. They engaged with Saudi business leaders, highlighting the objectives and vision behind SAJEX.
A second curtain raiser is planned for Riyadh on July 8 to further expand engagement with stakeholders across the Kingdom.
Set to be held from September 11 to 13 at the Jeddah Superdome, SAJEX 2025 aspires to serve as a major B2B platform, bridging India’s renowned jewellery manufacturers with top Saudi buyers and retailers.
GJEPC Chairman Mr. Kirit Bhansali, addressing the gathering, stated, “SAJEX is a key initiative in deepening Indo-Saudi cooperation in the gem and jewellery sector. With Saudi Arabia’s jewellery market expected to grow from USD 4.56 billion in 2024 to USD 8.34 billion by 2030, driven by a youthful and affluent population, we aim to seize this opportunity and work closely with Saudi partners to establish the Kingdom as a major hub for jewellery trade. SAJEX is more than just an exhibition—it represents the start of a sustainable, trust-based partnership.”
The Jeddah event received an enthusiastic response from local wholesalers, retailers, and manufacturers, who actively engaged with the Indian delegation and exhibitors. Supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (India), the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, and the Saudi Jewellery Commission, SAJEX 2025 is set to become a milestone event in the Middle East’s gem and jewellery industry.
