“It’s wonderful to be in Kerala for KJIF. The state’s corporate retailers have built a substantial presence both in India and globally. This growth reflects more than commercial success—it speaks to Kerala’s rich design heritage and consumer-centric approach. Moreover, the state’s jewellery industry is driven not only by scale but also by a profound commitment to social responsibility.”
As part of KJIF 2025, a Knowledge Hub session was organized to tackle pressing regulatory and operational concerns commonly encountered by jewellers. Topics included BIS compliance, GST regulations, legal metrology, and police recovery protocols.
The session featured a distinguished panel of industry and legal experts including Sandeep S Kumar (from BIS – Legal & Enforcement), B. Pramod (GST Commissioner, Kochi), Rajesh Sam (Joint Controller, Central Zone – Legal Metrology Department, Kochi), and Adv. Nemom Chandrababu. The discussion was skillfully moderated by Chartered Accountant Jamsheed Adam.
This knowledge-sharing forum was designed to offer jewellers valuable insights and actionable advice for navigating regulatory complexities in their daily operations.
