The India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai kicked off its inaugural Market Familiarisation Programme on June 23 by hosting a group of 12 Indian jewellery exporters. This newly introduced initiative is designed to provide Indian manufacturers and exporters with hands-on exposure to the evolving Middle East market.
The exporters in this first batch showcased a diverse range of products, including gold, diamond, silver, and lab-grown jewellery. As a pilot group, their participation marks the start of a broader strategic effort to prepare Indian exporters for success in the GCC and surrounding regions.
Enhancing the programme’s value, noted jewellery industry consultant Mr. Raj Sahai led a comprehensive session, offering key insights into the Middle Eastern market. His talk covered crucial topics such as consumer behaviour, cultural preferences, pricing strategies, and trade regulations—equipping participants with essential knowledge to navigate the region’s business landscape effectively.
