
The GJEPC Regional Office in Surat conducted an informative webinar on 17th June to raise awareness about the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai and to promote its upcoming Market Research and Familiarisation Programme, designed to support members in exploring export opportunities in the GCC region.
The event drew over 100 participants from across Gujarat. Opening the session, Mr. Jayantibhai Savaliya, Regional Chairman – Gujarat, GJEPC, emphasized the strategic relevance of IJEX, describing it as a vital springboard for Indian jewellers aiming to enter or expand in the Middle Eastern market.
Mr. Ashish Sakhardande, Head of IJEX, GJEPC, delivered a comprehensive overview of the week-long programme. He shared details of the itinerary, which includes guided tours of key jewellery hubs in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, one-on-one B2B meetings with leading designers and consultants, as well as dedicated support in marketing and market research.
Two programme batches were announced, scheduled for 7th July and 11th August 2025. The initiative received a strong response, with 25 participants confirming their registration during the webinar itself.
