The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) recently held strategic discussions with the Thai Gem & Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) and the Indian-Thai Diamond & Colorstone Association (ITDCA), aiming to strengthen Thai involvement in upcoming IIJS and SAJEX exhibitions.
The meeting, held on 16 June, included prominent figures such as Mr. Dipak Shahthanawuth, TGJTA Board Member and ITDCA PR Director; Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak, Vice President, TGJTA; Mr. Somchai Phornchindarak, Honourable President, TGJTA; Ms. Vilasinee Noknaum, Vice President, TGJTA; and Ms. Mariam Dalohkongsalem, ITDCA Association Manager.
Key topics included revitalising the Thai Pavilion at future IIJS editions, with Thai representatives expressing a keen interest in rejoining the show, in line with past participation. They also conveyed enthusiasm for SAJEX 2025, while acknowledging potential scheduling challenges due to its overlap with the Bangkok Jewelry Show.
