The 7th edition of the Preferred Manufacturers of India (PMI) buyer-seller networking meet commenced in Goa with a vibrant opening, marking the second edition of this prestigious series in the coastal state. The event was formally inaugurated by Shri Rohan Khaunte, Honourable Minister for Tourism, IT, Electronics & Communications, Printing and Stationery, Government of Goa, alongside Shri Bipin Kumar Upadhyay, Commissioner – CGST, as the Guest of Honour.

The ceremonial lamp lighting was led by key leaders of the All-India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), including Rajesh Rokde (Chairman), Avinash Gupta (Vice Chairman), Chetan Thadeshwar (PMI Convener), Saiyam Mehra and Madan Kothari (Joint Conveners), and Salim Daginawala (Co-Convener)—symbolising the spirit of unity and progress within the industry.

The event attracted over 45 leading manufacturers and 210+ premium retailers from across the country, reflecting strong industry interest and collaborative momentum.

A major highlight of this edition was the exclusive debut of the Diamond Pavilion, showcasing the craftsmanship of 15 top-tier diamond manufacturers, which significantly enriched the event’s offerings. Alongside, the Gold Pavilion featured a spectacular mix of antique, couture, and modern jewellery—ranging from 18-carat gold to rose gold and diamond creations—all showcased under one roof. Organisers anticipate over 2,000 kilograms of business transactions during the three-day event.

Adding further significance to the day, Mr. Sunil Poddar, NJA Convener, officially launched the 14th edition of the National Jewellery Awards (NJA). Renowned for honouring excellence in design and craftsmanship, NJA 2025 promises a more robust and transparent judging process, guided by global advisory firm Ernst & Young.
