To enhance bilateral ties, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) conducted a series of strategic meetings with prominent figures from Vietnam’s gemstone and investment industries. A significant engagement took place with Mr. K.S. Ngo The Hoc, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Gemstones (VAG), along with delegates from seven affiliated companies. The discussions explored avenues for collaboration, including the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between VAG and GJEPC to strengthen industry cooperation.
GJEPC also formally invited the Vietnamese representatives to participate in IIJS Premiere 2025 in Mumbai and SAJEX 2025 in Saudi Arabia. The response was enthusiastic, with interest expressed in forming a delegation for both events.
Another important meeting was conducted with Mr. Bui Trong Thoan, PhD, Deputy General Manager of Invest Global under the Vietnam Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises (VAFIE), coordinated by the Indian Embassy. The talks focused on promoting IIJS Premiere and SAJEX, with Mr. Thoan expressing strong interest in organizing a Vietnamese business delegation to attend the upcoming exhibitions.
