Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, has earned the International Colored Gemstone Association’s (ICA) Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the global coloured gemstone sector. The award was presented at the 19-22 May ICA Congress in Brasilia.
“Gaetano Cavalieri is now regarded as one of the most recognized and prominent figures in the global jewellery community,” stated Damien Cody, President of the International Council of Arts. “His dedication has spanned decades, and as an industry, we owe him a profound and lasting debt of appreciation. He has received numerous awards over the years, and he now joins a select group of distinguished persons who have received this most coveted honor.”
Doug Hucker, CEO of the ICA, stated, “It is practically impossible to honor all of the people, organisations, industrial sectors, and associations who have benefited from Dr Cavalieri’s efforts and engagement.” The ICA is proud to celebrate a great titan of our industry.”
