GJEPC and the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) met with the Hupari and Kolhapur Workers Associations, as well as the Joint Director of the District Industries Centre (DIC), Kolhapur, to discuss the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
The first round of registration for the plan will begin next week, encompassing approximately 2,000 karigars. IIGJ has been appointed as the sole training partner for this effort in Hupari, enabling skill development and capacity building among local craftsmen.
