Artisan Awards 2025 Final Jury Deliberations End

The eighth edition of the Artisan Jewellery Design Awards, powered by GIA, ended its final jury round today, January 16th, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Throughout the day, the distinguished jury panel, which included Dr. Usha Balakrishnan, Eminent Jewellery Historian; Mr. Jay Sagar, Jewellery Specialist, Astaguru Auction House; Ms. Priya Tanna, President @trscreativeconsulting and Ex-Editor-In-Chief, Vogue India; Mr. Apurva Kothari, Founding Partner of SAVAAB; and Ms. Shachee Shah, Founder & Creative Head, Shachee Fine Jewellery, meticulously examined 20 exquisite jewelry pieces.

This year’s theme, “Indian Crafts Reimagined,” prompted designers to reimagine traditional Indian crafts in contemporary jewelry. The judges thoroughly analyzed each creation, taking into account elements such as innovation, design aesthetics, makeability, manufacturing, wearability, and overall relevance to the theme.

The Artisan Jewellery Design Awards, organized by GJEPC, continue to serve as a significant launchpad for emerging designers, providing them with a forum to demonstrate their ability and achieve industry recognition. These 20 one-of-a-kind artworks were created from previously submitted design illustrations, demonstrating the transformational journey of ideas into physical works of art.
