Prithviraj Kothari unveiled the famed Golden Wheel of Time at Zaveri Bazaar.

In a historic event that highlighted India’s rich heritage and artistic journey, Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director of RiddiSiddhi Bullions Limited (RSBL) and National President of the Indian Bullion Jewellers Association (IBJA), inaugurated the Golden Wheel of Time at the Zaveri Bazaar. This spectacular ring sculpture, skillfully crafted from iron and gold, is a testament to Bharat’s kal chakra (wheel of time), which represents evolution and tenacity throughout the millennia.

The Golden Wheel of Time represents Bharat’s eternal legacy and the progression of its craftsmanship. The combination of iron and gold, along with delicate etchings and various textures, tells the story of a transformation from raw to refined grandeur. The sculpture represents continuity, connecting the nation’s famous past to a sparkling future and encouraging everyone to shine brighter and stronger as the immortal sone ki chidiya (golden bird) takes flight once more. The RSBL takes delight in preserving this emblem of growth and harmony.

According to Prithviraj Kothari, “The Golden Wheel of Time is more than a symbol; it is a reminder of our common journey—from our rich history to the promise of a golden future. It represents the spirit of reinvention and resilience that characterizes Bharat. May it motivate us all to keep going forward, embracing our legacy and striving for improvement.”

Prithviraj Kothari, a renowned pioneer in the gold, silver, and platinum bullion industries, is often regarded as the “Bullion King of India.” He is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University who has worked in his family’s gold trading business for over 30 years. His leadership has moved RiddiSiddhi Bullions Limited to the top ten unlisted public corporations in India in terms of sales turnover, according to BS1000.

Mr. Kothari, known for his groundbreaking contributions, has played an important role in advising the Indian government on how to organize and expand bullion markets. He was involved in launching RSBL SPOT, India’s first and only electronic over-the-counter bullion trading system, as well as introducing Instant International price-based INR denominated bullion trading.

In addition to his corporate accomplishments, Mr. Kothari has served on the advisory committee of the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) and has advised both MCX and NCDEX on the design of gold and silver contracts. During his stint as President of the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA), he made great achievements toward increasing the organization’s international influence. His initiatives have also laid the groundwork for the launch of gold ETFs in India.

Kothari’s efforts have been honored twice with the renowned Jain Ratna award—first by Honorable President of India, Smt. Pratibhadevi Patil, in 2012, and subsequently by Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chauhan, in 2013—for his outstanding service to the Jain community.
