During a recent visit to the Sarafa Association Amritsar, the GJEPC expressed its commitment to assisting the organization’s members in their export efforts. The meeting, held on October 18th, focused on investigating cluster development potential and resolving the association’s members’ concerns. GJEPC discussed measures to assist members in entering the export market, such as basic guidelines and the process of initiating exports with hand-carry shipments.
Members of the association expressed a strong desire to attend jewellery events in Middle Eastern nations in order to better understand the market. Another major concern highlighted was the delay in jewellery parcel cargo examinations at the Amritsar port. The GJEPC told the group that the issue was being addressed and that attempts were being made to accelerate the process.
Several association members showed an interest in participating as exhibitors in the next IIJS Premiere 2025 and registering as GJEPC members. The conference ended on a positive one, with the GJEPC committing its support to assist the Amritsar jewelry cluster in launching exports from the Amritsar port.
