Signet Jewelers stated that Virginia “Gina” C. Drosos, after twelve years with the company, will to retire as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors on November 4, 2024. Following careful succession planning and a search process, the Board has nominated J.K. Symancyk to succeed Drosos as CEO, and he will join the Board at that time. Following her retirement, Drosos will remain an advisor until the conclusion of the company’s fiscal year to ensure a smooth transition.
Joan Hilson, Chief Financial, Strategy, and Services Officer, has also had her responsibilities expanded, the business stated today. Hilson’s new post as Chief Financial and Operating Officer will include control of supply chain, Blue Nile, and James Allen, in addition to her present responsibilities for Rocksbox, finance, strategy, real estate, and services. Hilson has been Signet‘s Chief Financial Officer since 2019, and has played a key role in the company’s restructuring.
“It has been an honor to serve Signet as a Board member for the past twelve years, and as CEO for the last seven. With the continuous successful implementation of our Inspiring Brilliance strategy and the road laid out for our next phase of growth, now is the time for this planned leadership transfer,” stated Drosos.
