As part of an environmental sustainability project, members of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) organizing team planted seedlings on the Rajasthan University campus and at the residence of the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Alpana Kateja. The Vice Chancellor praised the JJS team’s initiative. JJS produced the event in partnership with the Srishti Foundation. Vimal Chand Surana, Chairman of the JJS Organizing Committee; Rajiv Jain, Honorary Secretary of JJS; Dinesh Khatoria, Vice President of JJS; Vivek Sharma, Founder of Srishti Foundation; and other JJS Organizing Committee members were in attendance.
According to Rajiv Jain, JJS has always been committed to environmental protection and sustainability. The first step of this plantation campaign involved planting 200 seedlings. The objective is to plant 1200 saplings in JJS 2024, which is equal to the number of booths this year, he stated.
