Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), a Surat-based natural diamond maker and exporter, has declared its membership in the United Nations Global Compact. This voluntary program allows businesses all around the world to embrace and implement sustainable socially responsible practices.
The company stated that joining the UNGC is an important milestone that demonstrates its commitment to the highest standards of social responsibility in the diamond and jewelry sector.
SRK recently achieved net zero emissions at its main facilities, SRK House and SRK Empire, becoming the world’s first corporation to get the Global Network for Zero’s (GNFZ) net zero accreditation for existing structures. This objective was originally set for 2030.
