A GJEPC delegation is visiting Latin America to strengthen trade ties.

The group, led by Vice Chairman Kirit Bhansali, sought to seek new markets, expand India’s export footprint, and strengthen commercial ties in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) area.

The delegation included prominent industry leaders such as Anish Birawat, Managing Director of Chain N Chains Jewels Ltd.; Shailesh Sangani, Founder of Priority Jewels; Anilkumar B. Virani, Director of M/s Karp Impex Limited and Partner at M/s Ethereal Green Diamond LLP; and Yash Shah, Partner at The Lalit Gems Co. and President of The Dia Box Inc., a US subsidiary of The Lalit Gems Co.

Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, expressed delight in the delegation’s accomplishments. “Our recent trip to Latin America emphasized the remarkable artistry and diversity of India’s gem and jewelry industry. The engagements in Brazil, Colombia, and Panama have created the framework for long-term collaborations. This journey has been a critical step in increasing India’s worldwide profile, and we are optimistic about the future of cultural, commercial, and trade exchanges in these dynamic regions.”

Vice Chairman Kirit Bhansali supported this opinion, saying, “Our relationships in Brazil, Colombia, and Panama have been really productive. These countries, with their rich histories and economic potential, provide a solid foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation. We really appreciate the kind hospitality and support of the people and retailers in these countries. The collaborative attitude and friendship felt during this journey point to a bright future for the gem and jewellery industries in both India and these Latin American countries.”

In Brazil, the delegation met with key industry executives to discuss partnership and global expansion potential. They engaged in interactive discussions with the Indian Embassy and key stores such as H Stern, Monte Cristo, Vivara, VQ Jewellery, and Villar Joias, which provided great networking and cooperation prospects.

Through these strategic contacts, the GJEPC delegation hopes to increase India’s gem and jewellery exports, strengthen economic ties, and establish collaborative prospects in Latin America. This program is intended to promote significant growth in India’s gem and jewellery business, benefiting both the domestic and Latin American markets.
