Bulgari, founded in Rome in 1884 by Sotirio Bulgari, travelled back to its roots with the launch of the Mediterranea High Jewelry 2023 collection in Venice on May 17. Bulgari CEO Jean- Christophe Babin has referred to this collection as the pinnacle of Bulgari’s identity in terms of creativity and craftsmanship, as well as a celebration of the founder’s vision. Bulgari attempts to showcase vibrance, nature’s opulence and mysticism through the high jewellery pieces. The latest collection represents the aesthetics of ocean and corals, ancient craft, the confluence of the Orient and the occident.
The Mediterranea High Jewellery collection is divided into three dimensions – ‘Southern Radiance’, ‘Roman Splendour’ and ‘East Meets West’ – which encompass and capture the essence and influences of the Mediterranean world. The event was attended by Priyanka Chopra, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya and K-Pop singer Lisa of Blackpink, the four global ambassadors of the brand. The four leading ladies of entertainment from around the world assembled at the Bulgari event in luxury couture paired with neckpieces from Bulgari’s collection.
