As of November 14th, Choksi Heraeus Pvt. Ltd. (CHPL), a prominent refinery of silver situated in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, has been added to the London Bullion Market Association’s (LBMA) Good Delivery List for silver.
CHPL had to pass stringent testing processes administered by impartial referees in order to obtain this coveted accreditation. The refinery’s internal assaying skills were painstakingly evaluated, and its silver bars were carefully inspected and tested. The strict requirements set by LBMA for ownership, history, production capacity, and financial stability were all successfully met by CHPL.
CHPL was founded in 1988 and has a long history of refining silver. The business significantly improved its technological capabilities and international reputation in 1994 when it established a joint venture with Heraeus, a world leader in precious metals. In order to treat large amounts of silver, CHPL now runs an integrated facility with sophisticated chemical and electro refining techniques.
A widely accepted standard for the purity and quality of precious metals is the LBMA Good Delivery List. There are now 81 refiners of silver and 65 refiners of gold on the list.
