On September 10th, GJEPC met with faculty members from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at its Mumbai headquarters to discuss prospective collaboration opportunities.
The NIFT delegation included Ms. Jayati Mukherjee, Associate Professor, NIFT Kolkata and Chairperson of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories (F&LA), NIFT Headquarters; Mr. Kumar Sudeepta, Assistant Professor and Regional Industry Coordinator, NIFT Mumbai; and Dr. Pallavi Rani, Assistant Professor and Centre Coordinator – F&LA, NIFT Mumbai.
Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener – National Exhibitions, GJEPC; Mr. Milan Chokshi, Convener – Promotions & Marketing, GJEPC; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC all greeted them.
The discussion centered on potential areas of collaboration, including classroom projects, participation in design competitions such as The Artisan Awards, industry exposure through internships and placements, participation in IIJS, faculty development, and knowledge sharing through seminars and workshops.
