On September 1, Gem Diamonds reported the discovery of a 122.20-carat Type II white diamond at its Letšeng mine in Lesotho. Gem Diamonds has retrieved 11 diamonds weighing more than 100 carats this year.
Gem Diamonds owns 70% of the Letšeng mine, which produces superb white diamonds and is the world’s greatest dollar-per-carat kimberlite diamond mine.
