David Troostwyk is chosen president of the London Diamond Bourse.

The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) has elected David Troostwyk as president, succeeding Alan Cohen, who has stepped down after many mandates.

Troostwyk, who was nominated by the LDB at its annual general meeting on May 23, has been the organization’s vice president since 2022, but has spent the last six months as co-president with Cohen, the exchange said Tuesday. Meanwhile, David Joffe will step down as treasurer after 30 years, and Trevor Sigsworth, who has served on the committee for the previous ten years, will also leave.

“With the wealth of experience from our existing committee members, we have a fantastic team of professionals ready to implement an ambitious agenda that will benefit our members and the broader UK diamond and jewelry industry,” Troostwyk said. “Notably, for the first time in LDB history, we have achieved equal representation of female committee members.”
