Skill India Mission, under the Government of India, intends to Skill, Re-skill, and Up-skill all young Indians to guarantee they are equipped for the enormous number of possibilities that will arise as the economy expands and India advances from the world’s tenth to third largest economy. SIM aims to provide the youth in India with access to future-ready, industry-ready skills.
Under the SIM, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) provides skill, re-skill, and up-skill training to youth across the country, including Uttar Pradesh, through a comprehensive network of skill development centers/institutes supported by various schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Jan Sikhshan Sansthan (JSS), National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), and Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS)
Placement possibilities have been provided to STT certified candidates under PMKVY, and because Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) entails the process of certifying already existent abilities, it is unrelated to placements. During the last three years, 51,925 individuals were reported placed under the STT component of PMKVY out of 1,07,727 certified candidates in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
